Why 1543
1543 was the beginning of the Copernican Revolution. Nicolaus Copernicus published a book that changed the world, literally. In his De revolutionibus orbium coelestium (On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres) he puts the sun in the centre of the universe. Before then everyone had always supported the idea that the earth was in the centre and all the celestial bodies rotating around it.
The world changed because Copernicus looked at it with different eyes. He placed the sun at the center of the universe, and from that year everything was different.
Changing the world requires courage.
